27th Street Corridor
Plan
For several years now the Cities of Franklin and Oak Creek have been working hand in hand to chart the course of development along the 6 mile stretch of S. 27th Street.
The 27th Street Corridor borders both communities and represents a HUGE development opportunity for both communities.
Anchored near the north by Northwestern Mutual's new campus and on the south by Wheaton Franciscan's new medical center, the stage is set and the standards are apparent.
Siezing the opportunity for planning the development of the corridor, both cities have contracted with HNTB and Eppstien Uhen Architects (among other consultants) to produce unified zoning, unified streetscaping, unified development guidelines and architectural standards.
The planning process is about 2/3rds completed. We're now able to show an introductory video that dramatically shows the standards and plans for streetscaping the corridor.
